Nicki Minaj & Cardi B fight, where did it take place?
Cardi B & Nicki Minaj get into a fight while attending a New York Fashion Week party on Friday night after several months of online words exchange. The brawl occurred on the second-floor balcony shortly after Cardi B walked the red carpet and when Minaj was leaving the area.
It was reported that both singers broke into a fight over comments that the “Barbie Dreams” singer had been criticizing Cardi’s parenting skills. In the video received online, the 25-year-old Cardi B was seen dressed in her bright red gown as she runs towards Nicki’s entourage, launching a shoe at her rival, while repeatedly swearing and screaming but Nicki’s security team were quick to step in and created a barricade between the pair.
However, it appears Nicki isn’t the first person to fall victim to one of Cardi’s heels because the rapper has a history of lobbing her shoes at her enemies. According to TMZ.com, Nicki appeared to have avoided any injuries as she was photographed making a hasty exit. While Cardi B was seen escorted from the event with only one shoe as she was chanting: ‘Say something about my daughter again’: ‘Keep your mother fucking hands off me with a large bump on her forehead just above her eyebrow after being elbowed on the head from one of Minaj’s bouncers following the brawl.
After the fight, Nicki made her way to her table with her team and security guards. She seemed calm, she walked through the crowd while everyone was taking pictures of her and you couldn’t tell anything had just happened. However, Nicki didn’t stay inside the event for too long; she left the event through the back entrance after being there for less than half an hour.
How It All Begin?
Some say the disputes between both rappers started in March 2017 when Nicki liked a comment taking a big dig on a video of Cardi rapping. However, Nicki later made controversial statements on No Flags with 21 Savage and Offset to increase the tensions.
Minaj rapped; “I heard these labels are trying to make another me/Everything you’re getting little hoe is because of me.” People assume the “hoe” in question was Cardi B, but Minaji shook off the comments by tweeting that this was not true.
Following the success of Cardi B single Bodak Yellow, things stepped up a notch when she said: “You know this bitch she never f**king liked me, and all of a sudden she wants to be friends with me — no, bitch … I still don’t like you bitch.”
On G-Eazy’s song No Limit, Cardi B addressed the so-called haters, and she rapped: “My career taking off / These hoes jogging in place / Swear these hoes run they mouth / How these hoes out of shape? / Can you stop with all the subs? / Bitch I ain’t Jared.”
Things turned to worst when Cardi B and Minaj submitted verses for the Migos song MotorSport. When the song was released in November last year, the pair said their piece in separate interviews.
After Capital Xtra interviewed Cardi B, Nicki Minaj broke down in tears when chatting with Zane Lowe on Beats. Nicki explained during a Beats radio interview that the only reason why Cardi hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘Motorsport.’ She looked so angry and aggravated. The only thing Cardi kept saying was, ‘Oh, I didn’t hear that I didn’t hear her verse.’ I was like… ‘What?'”
However, Nicki and Cardi appeared to have squashed their dispute when photos of both singers hugging each other and having a conversation surfaced at this year’s Met Gala event. In their recent fight, Cardi accused Nicki of questioning her abilities as a parent.
Nicki Won’t Press Charges
Nicki Minaj has decided not to press any further charges against mother-of-one Cardi following their altercation according to report from TMZ.com. Nicki was unscathed, and nobody on her team was injured, so she sees no reason to press any charges and carry on with the drama according to the report. An NYPD Public Information Officer told people on Saturday that ‘at this point, we don’t have a complaint on either side.’
Cardi B Reaction After The Incident
Cardi B took to Instagram to shed more light about the fight. In her statement, Cardi hint that the rapper’s comments about her one-month-old daughter Kulture were responsible for things kicking off.
The 25-year-old wrote. “When you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**king off!!” Cardi finished: ‘I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f**king with my success!!!!’ ‘Bitches talk all that shit in they raps but in real life they pussy!! This shit really is for entertainment!!’
